Update

I think its time for a new post. Here's the update so far:

We have two new girls living in the apartment upstairs. Renata is from Poland and Romana is from Slovakia. They both seem like cute girls. Here are their portfolios!

Renata

Romana

All of the Australian students left this weekend for Rome. So sad! But we had a great time going out with them. They had a really great mesh of people in the group. I'll miss them.

This weekend I have a hair show in Verona. Matina might come with me but Im not sure. Aubrae just got back from the same show in the south of Italy and her hair looks really cute. They cut it and added a little more red into it. It looks really great on her. Im excited to see how my hair will look!

Matina's burned hand is getting better. It looks worse, but its healing quite well. She burned it last week on some hot oil and it blistered up pretty badly. The agency told her that she may work this hair job with me but then she'll be able to go home as well. Im hoping she can come with me on the trip.

Its getting close to the date for me to fly out of here. Im kind of excited but kind of not at the same time. Italy turned out to be pretty cool. Met alot of great people and got to see the city. The work aspect of it wasnt what I had expected but everything else was pretty good. I'd like to come back some day. I'll miss Milano.

News and Inspiration

So far this week has been pretty relaxing. I've only had about two or three castings a day which has been pretty nice. Got a few call backs as well. No jobs yet, but I might be able to do a photo shoot sometime with a photographer that I meet a week ago.

Two new girls have arrived! Claudia is from Romania and Tori is actually from Ford RBA like me. Claudia is turning 18 in a few days and Tori is 16. She's here with her mom who is super nice. Its cool to kind of have a mom around again. Here's a link to Claudia's portfolio. Tori doesn't have one yet so I'll post that later.

Today is Matina's name day. So we're celebrating by having dinner at Emily's apartment. Sweedish meatballs and all kids of other yummy stuff! It'll be great.

Lately, I've been obsessed with Lara Stone and Abby Lee Kershaw. Just wanted to share some photos of theirs that I love.

Neve e Gelato!

Sunday's are always my lazy days. All the stores are closed today, unfortunately. Which would be really helpful because I need groceries and stuff. But anyway, I haven't updated in a while so here is what happened the last few days.

First of all, it snowed! I was on my way to aperitivo with Matina and our Australian friends when it started and it stuck for quite a while. By the way, aperitivo is like happy hour. You buy one drink, usually around 6/9 Euro and then you get to eat as much food as you'd like. Its a great deal if you find the right place. But anyway, as you may have already guessed, snow = snowball fight!

We got gelato last night at this great place called Grom. They have THE MOST delicious gelato ever. I had two flavors, Dark Chocolate and Yogurt with homemade whip cream on top. So tasty!

I moved in with Matina yesterday! So now we're roommates and the new Romanian girl is going to take my place upstairs with Madalina and Aubrae. Another girl is on her way, but I dont know where from. I talked to Amanda the other day on facebook. She said that she and her fiance are having some financial issues which needed to be sorted out so that's why she left. I wish her the best. I think she would have done really well here.

Anyway, tomorrow will be a major grocery day for both Matina and me. And of course, more castings! Wish me luck!

Amo l'Italia!

Busy week this week! Sorry for not posting anything. I've been running around the city going to castings all week. Got a few call backs! Im pretty happy about that. There is a client that's interested in using me for a hair show. So we'll see how that goes.

I met some Australian exchange students that are living in my hotel. They're so great! Awesome personalities and they're all really sweet. Matina and I have been hanging out with them alot. I keep forgetting my camera but I'll post a few photos of them later on in this post. Im also moving into Matina's room this weekend! Nathalia is moving out and going back to Brazil. Next week, two new girls are coming in. One from Romania and I dont remember where the other girl is from.

Tomorrow I need to get groceries and do my laundry. The freaking washing machine at the hotel has been broken all week so Im completely out of clean clothes. Aubrae found a laundromat so I have to lug all my stuff there tomorrow to clean it. Oh well.

Okay, time for some photos :]
